The role of Learning Mentors was introduced in September 2016 to help improve learning throughout the school. Learning mentors have two roles and they work directly with the headteacher and class teachers. The first role of the learning mentors is to help monitor learning in each class by conducting audits and talking to other children to find out about how they are learning and identify where they need to get better. They then help devise plans to help achieve this. The second role of the learning mentors is to be an individual 'learning buddy' for a younger child, who they regulatory meet with to discuss their learning and provide support.
