Eco Schools

The Eco-Schools programme is an ideal way for schools to embark on a meaningful path towards improving the environmental footprint of a school, a change which inevitably leads to a more sustainable, less costly and more responsible school environment.

The programme provides a framework for learning and action around nine topics - biodiversity, energy, litter, global citizenship, healthy living, school grounds, transport, waste and water.

Schools progress through the bronze and silver awards and eventually gather evidence to gain their green flag.

We are pleased to be a member of eco-schools and are currently working towards our bronze award. We are in the process of forming an eco-committee - a group of pupils across the year groups who will lead our plans for the school so watch this space...
