History: We teach our children about the history of Britain and that of the wider world.  They are encouraged to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh and sift evidence whilst developing their understanding about the processes of change.  In Key Stage 1, they learn about changes in living memory, events beyond living memory such as the Great Fire of London as well as the lives of significant individuals.  At Key Stage 2, they extend their knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history, noting connections, contrasts and trends and developing their use of historical vocabulary.
