Attendance

If for some reason your child is unable to attend a preschool session please let us know as soon as possible, either by ringing the or e-mailing us. This includes if you will need to visit the  doctors/dentist/hospital appointments, sickness, holidays etc.

If your child is absent, we ask that you fill in an absence form, either before or after their return to the preschool. This is really important evidence as proof of your child’s non-attendance for the funding entitlement. Please let us know in good time if you are going away on holiday during term time. Please fill in the relevant forms following sickness or in advance for holidays.

Please note that if you are in receipt of the Early Years Entitlement that you must send your child to all the sessions that you are claiming payment for, unless your child is unwell, or you are on holiday. When you sign the form you are entering into a contract with Devon County Council and any lack of attendance has financial consequences. For more details please see the child information form.
