Woodbury C of E Primary School

Woodbury Preschool

Welcome to our new and exciting venture!

We are delighted to inform you that we are now in a position to open a Governor run pre-school on site at Woodbury School from September 2024.

The pre-school will be open to a maximum of 13 children per session, planning and working closely together with our Reception class team.  The pre-school will be based in our current Breakfast/After School Club room, which will be redesigned to accommodate the needs of young children, and the children will also benefit from the use of the wider school environment and resources.  Children can join the pre-school from the half-term after they turn 2 years old.

This page aims to provide the information you may need in order to make an informed decision about joining our governor-run pre-school along with the forms you need for enrolment.

What is a Governor Run Pre-school?

A governor run pre-school is set up by governing bodies in maintained, voluntary and foundation schools that use the power given to them in the 2002 Education Act to set up and run extended services. The pre-school could be organised as a FSU (Foundation Stage Unit) or as a stand-alone group.

Session times and days

Our session times run parallel to our school day so if you have children at Woodbury school you will be able to link drop off and pick up times.  We will work closely with our families to do our best to provide the sessions parents and carers want. We are a small pre-school in its early stages, so please keep talking with us to make sure we know what will work best for you!
