Travel

Our Travel Plan

We are committed to actively promoting sustainable travel to and from our school. Our Travel Plan encourages those that can, to leave their car at home and to enjoy walking or cycling into school. We teach the children about the benefits of walking and cycling as well as road safety. Where possible please walk or cycle your child to school. If you need to use a car, please use the village hall car park.

Our Travel Plan can be found on the policies page.

Parking around the school

Please consider local residents when dropping off and collecting your child from school. Please park considerately and do not park on pavements or block access to driveways. Please do not use the school drive to drop off your child as this is not safe for those entering the school. The village hall car park is the best place to park.

Bikeability

Bikeability is a training scheme which teaches the children in Years 5 and 6 to learn to use their bikes safely on the road. There are 2 levels that can be obtained. At level 1 the children learn how to be in full control of their bike, practising on the playground. At level 2 the children learn the rules of the road and how to cope with other traffic as a cyclist, before cycling on the roads under supervision. We encourage all children to take part in Bikeability.
