PTFA
The Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) of Woodbury C of E Primary School is a fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and some of the staff. It helps provide extra resources and opportunities that enhance the children’s lives in school.
All parents automatically become members of the PTFA when their child joins the school. During the year the PTFA committee organise a range of social and fundraising events. These have included activities, competitions and raffles as well as the hugely popular Christmas and Summer Fayres. Over the years funds have been raised to provide the outdoor play equipment, purchase some laptops and renew the playground markings. The focus for 2022/23 is to continue to develop our outdoor spaces, by installing an outdoor classroom on the edge of the classroom that can be used for lessons and leisure times. The school is indebted to the work of the PFTA and all the people who support our school. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for such fantastic support.
How can you help?
The success of the PTFA depends upon the support of all parents, staff and the community. This can be anything from a little time spent helping out in the background, to coming along to the functions with friends and family or by joining the committee. The PTFA also needs donations, both prizes for forthcoming events as well as monetary contributions at events. You can also support the PTFA by using The Giving Machine when you make online purchases.
Amazon Wish List
To support in developing the use of our wildlife garden the School Council have chosen some items that we would like in our bird hide, which the children can use at lunchtimes. We have set up an Amazon Wish list of items chosen. We have already received some items from this and really appreciate these donations. Thank you very much! Wish List
Please get involved; the more active the PTFA, the more can be achieved for the children. Please contact ptfawoodburyschool@yahoo.com for more information.
