Government Information during Coronavirus

School leaders and the federation governing body remain committed to monitoring all updates from the government and will continue to do so. Please keep reading all communications we send, for further information.

Please also click on the government links for more information about the latest development and measures you can take, to reduce the risk of this virus spreading. This continues to be a rapidly changing pandemic. Please practice social distancing even if you are not showing signs of the virus. We must do all we can as a school community to continue to play our part in stopping the spread of Covid 19.

As a Church of England Federation, we also pray for our schools, city, country and the world,  for everyone effected by this dreadful situation.

Covid Update

Further to updated government guidance coming into effect on 24 February, the rules regarding testing and self-isolation for coronavirus (Covid-19) have now changed.

There is no longer a legal requirement for people with coronavirus (Covid-19) infection to self-isolate, however if you have any of the main symptoms of Covid-19 or a positive test result, the advice is to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until you have had two negative lateral flow test results.

In the school we will still keep in place the following control measures to reduce risk:

  • Ensuring good hygiene for everyone
  • Maintaining appropriate cleaning regimes
  • Keeping occupied spaces well ventilated

Following public health advice on testing, self-isolation and managing confirmed cases of Covid-19

Identifying a 'Covid cough'

A reminder that currently only people with COVID-19 symptoms need to get tested.

In addition to information on the parent leaflet which has been circulated previously, we have the NHS definition of Covid symptoms which are:

The symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • A high temperature
  • OR new, continuous cough (usually dry, with no mucus or phlegm produced)
  • OR loss or change to sense of smell or taste
